 Durham is located in Middlesex County, Connecticut, in the north eastern part of the United States of America. It was settled in 1699.

At 23.8 sq miles and with a population of 6,627(2000), it hosts the Durham Fair, one of the largest agricultural fairs in New England. This southern New England town lies along Metacomet Ridge that stretches from the Long Island Sound to Vermont. It is centrally located approximately 100 miles between Boston and New York City.
